Smooth,

Good game, both our defenses are absolutely garbage.......

BTW, I turned off PS3 before quiting game (oops), hope you reported it..lol

I'm replaying it now...

Don't worry, it's recorded. But it says you're not ready to advance because you still have 20 minutes of recruiting time left.

Anyway, that was the most fun User v. User game I've had with Army, even if I did lose.

Here's the link to the touchdown we were discussing. You can't really see it bounce off your guy's back, though. I don't think I could have caught it if you hadn't dove.

Edit: That play was what, the only time someone on my line picked up your blitzing CB?

Playing this game made me think of another improvement EA can make to 10. I think assigning defenders to guys on the offense is already in (If I could do it in our game, I'd have stuck my freshman CB on Henderson), but something else needs to be added. On defense, when the players are getting into position, I'd like to be able to hit R1 and see who's lined up where. I'd watch your huddle break and look for #85, but you have other receivers with numbers 86 and 89. When I hit R1, I want the names of the offensive players to show up. This goes both ways. On offense, I'd like to hit R1 and see which corner is lined up where, just in case you flipped them (which I did to you a couple times, but it didn't work).

dude, that ball warps from my hands to your WR hands............

either way, it was a very good game.

I still can't believe I made a 48 yrd field goal "iced" with time expiring to win. I honestly can say that I am under 50% from field goals. Although I have gotten much better due to playing Tiger.

I wasn't planning on using Army again in NCAA 10, but this may change my mind.

Finally, Iron & Mania, since you guys play the cpu, let me know how the sliders are working. The sliders didn't carry over from online to offline and they were set to my impossible Heisman dynasty sliders I was involved with, so those were no good. So Iron helped me reconstruct what I had. So hopefully I got that right. So let me know if anything seems out of whack.

well, the computer had about 50 broken tackles, so I guess they were about the same
Yep, except now RB ability is down from 45 to 40, and if you thought that having a back slower than 95 fucked you up last season. Try running with a guy that has 93 speed when he's getting run down from behind by a DT. But at least Run Blocking was bumped up from 65 to 70, because that's pretty effective when your RB is running in quick sand. So basically I had to run with Shelton in the first half, which means that he only got run down from behind by LBs.

Overall UK had 37 rushes for 268 yards. Take out 3 superman option pitches, and one ridiculous 71 yarder where the QB was 15 yards down the field before I pitched to the back, and you have 33 rushes for 94 yards for a 2.84 ypc. All against a 69 rated Louisville defense. So, basically, those long runs don't happen against any other defense that I play this year, and the backs getting stuffed after a one yard gain, because they're too slow to get out of the backfield, happens even more often. I guess I won't be running an option afterall, if we're going to handicap runningbacks.

Catch Ability was also lowered from 25 to 20. I liked that a lot, because my receivers couldn't catch the ball when it hit them in the hands. You pretty much have to do user catches all the time now...fantastic!

Defensive awarenes was bumped up from 25 to 30 too...so that was nice. At least my DBs weren't jumping for the ball ten days before I was even able to switch to them.

40? It should have been 45 (will change that)

And I do know some things were different from the ones I posted way back. Like I know I lowered WR catch.

I missed it. Why did we change the sliders? They were bad enough last season, why make them even more frustrating?

The reason they were 'changed' was because I was a dumb ass and didn't write down the sliders from last season. And for some reason when we went offline and came back, the sliders didn't save, but instead were changed to my default sliders I had saved on my system (which was an insane set of sliders from one dynasty I did where RB Ability was actually 25)

So, I had to check with Iron to see if he remembered them. He gave me a set of numbers. But I also know they were slightly different than the actual numbers we used last year. So I had to guess a little.

The sliders that I gave you were exactly the same as what was used during the bowl season. That's when I wrote them down. If they had changed throughout the season, then I didn't notice.
