The lying ass 'Files Not Ready' indicator at the top of the screen almost caused me to screw 'Bubba and Piney out of their week 2 recruiting. It said that there were 0 files not ready, but luckily I scrolled through the users anyway. I will be advancing a 10 PM EST tonight.


On another note. I think that I'm going to turn injuries on for season 2. It turns out that turning injuries off doesn't apply to non-user-controlled teams. So we were still playing injury depleted teams when we played the CPU. Also, I noticed that knowing that injuries were off changed my style of play. So, I think that we'll give this injury thing a shot. Let know if you have any objections, either in here, or in a PM.

Damn. I was still getting the red shirt on your tab. I don't know what happened. The only thing I can say is to make sure that you exit all the way out of recruiting before turning off your PS3. If you did that, then it was probably just another of many glitches that this game has.


On a lighter note. I signed a 4* Guard and a 4* Free Safety. I think that I have six 4* recruits now. I think that my estimate of the top team in the MAC bringing in a national recruiting ranking in the mid-40's may have been off a little. I'm thinking that there will be a couple of us in the 30's and maybe a couple in the 20's.

Your just blind Iron, I say Whobe only had 10 minutes left. Ya got to keep your eye out on this kind of stuff since you are the commish and all :biggrin:

And I could have told you that your mid-40s estimate was off as I am hoping for a Top 20 recruiting class and the guys I have seen you on, you should be Top 20 also. This week is huge for me as I have will be trying to steal a 4* WR from USC and bring him to Athens! But I have 6 Top 500 guys and I realistically could sign another 6-7 Top 500 guys.

Who says he was interested in my school? It took me 5-6 weeks to get into his Top 10. Then it took another 4-5 weeks to get into his Top 5 when I scored a visit. If he waited another week I wouldn't have been able to have him in for a visit.

So basically... there are ways to get guys that are not interested (ie not in Top 10) interested. Just takes time & patience with knowing how to get guys interested in you and at the same time not wasting your time on guys that you won't be able to sway to your school.

I got about 6-8 guys like that. And my #1 guy like that will be my starting QB in 2 years. Remember the name Shedrick Fulton, he will terrorize the MAC when he is ready. He is the key to kicking in my option offense! I might let him start as a frosh, I just have to see how his B/B- THP/THA translates to his throwing ratings.

What makes him special? He runs a 4.35 :groove2:

Iron can tell you about the scare I gave him on his SS prospect (The guy that ran a 4.20). CMU was #1 the whole time, took me until Week 9 to even get into his Top 10, but then I scored a visit and going into the Home Visits I was #2 on his list. I promised the world to him but he ended up at CMU. But I am sure Iron was a little scared he might lose him to me. :wink:

I had such a huge lead with that guy, that I wasn't really paying attention. So I didn't notice you creeping up until week 1 of the offseason recruiting. I knew I had to get my in home that week, or you would snake him out from under me. Luckily I got him, and another SS that runs a 4.24. fanatic took my fastest recruit though. An ATH with a 4.18 40. That translates to 98 SPD. He was only a 2* though, so it's hard telling if he'll be worth a [censored] as a DB or WR. I guess I'll have to settle for the 4* RB with the 4.20 40 as my fastest guy. :wink:

We are scheduled to advance at 10 PM EST tonight, but this is what I'm going to do instead. I will not be in town tomorrow night, so I will advance to recruiting week 4 before I leave for work tomorrow (approx. 6:30 AM EST). Our next advance will not be until Thursday night at 10 PM EST.

So, this is what it will look like (hopefully):

Wednesday 6:30 AM advance to recruiting week 4.
Thursday 10 PM advance to week 5
Friday 10 PM advance to Position Changes
Sunday 10 PM advance through Training Results and to Cut Players
Monday 10 PM advance to preseason.

USC loses out on a 4.22 4* WR... Go BOBCATS!!!

3 more Top 500 guys are coming in this week (another 4.22 WR too)

It is all gravy from here on out! I love recruiting the last 2-3 weeks of in-home visits!
