NCAA09 PS3 Big Ten-Pac Ten Dynasty (Official Thread)

Well the MAC is doing well against Big Ten teams as Ohio steamrolled Ohio State 41 - .......... 30

Ohio State took a 24-14 lead on a 90+ yard pick 6 with 20 seconds left in the first half.

But in the second half it was all Ohio. Garret ran all over the weak Ohio State defense. Took the initial 2nd half possession for a TD, then on OSU's possession the tide turned. They drove down the field until Boeckman threw into double coverage in the endzone as Thad Turner romped from end zone to end zone to take the 28-24 lead.

Then a 3 and out and another score started to watch the blow out begin. as I stretched the lead to 35-24. Then the computer started trying to cheat as my team started fumbling but luckily my defense was able to hold Beanie & Boeckman in check.

Late in the 4th quarter Posey got loose for a long TD pass. But a failed 2 pt conversion and then choosing not to kick an onside kick with 3 minutes left in the game sealed OSU's fate.

Ohio then methodically drove down the field using up clock and punched in their final TD with 20 seconds left. And to piss off Iron I went for 2 pts and failed on purpose to end with 41 pts

I would have finished my recruiting but the wife was crabby and the baby was fussy. So I should be able to wrap that up tonight.

We will advance as soon as Bleed gets an interent connection, so he can get his game and recruiting in, or Sunday night.

Basebuck still needs to get their recruiting in before leaving Saturday, or it will be simmed as well.

I seem to remember you being too scared to play me last night.

I didn't want to make your Monday even worse with a beatdown. So am giving you a few days of hope before I crush you.

*Really the baby was super fussy last night and I only could be online for 15-20 minutes*

I (CMU) beat Piney (OU) tonight...by a wide margin. My guys were really fired up with all of the bulletin board material they received this week.

We had some connection problems at first, and now it's saying that I reported him. Can't say as though I remember doing that, and since I'm the commish, I'm going to go ahead ignore it.

Everyone is done with their games except for Blumpkin and kcwilli. kc is out of town until Monday, and Blumpkin may or may not have a working internet connection. I am going to PM Bleed to see what his status is. If he's a no go, then I just need to do my recruiting for us to advance tonight. If he can play. I'll wait until tomorrow morning to advance. As always, I will post in this thread as soon as I advance the MAC Dynasty.

After the performances this week, Central Michigan and Kent State should both be ranked in the top 25. I believe that we were either 27th and 28th or 28th and 29th last week, and we both won big against quality opponents.

With the way I played last night, I wouldn't call myself a 'quality' opponent.

Dang it... I really have to stop throwing Interceptions. I was able to move the ball, but throwing Ints left and right and giving Iron good field position just isn't good.

Not sure if Piney actually took issue with this or what, but it was brought up at the end of our game last night.

Bryan Anderson is my team's best WR. He also happens to be my best TE, and I only have one halfway decent TE. By putting Anderson in as my second TE and starting him as my slot receiver I can keep my best players on the field and create matchup problems at the same time. Anderson did have over 100 yards receiving with over half of that coming from the slot and the rest came from the TE position.

I don't consider this to be cheesing (and Piney never accused me of such), but wanted to run this by everyone here. I frequently move players around to match their skill sets to match what I want to do on the field. The only truly static positions, IMO, are QB, P, and K.

I agree with you and would have no issue with you doing this against me, even though it is so hard to defend against this sort of strategy in a computer game and with our teams lack of talent. In the other league I did the same with Collie. So I hope I didn't piss anybody off.

Thought I should clarify here. I moved Collie around between HB and all WR slots on the field. Did not put him at TE.
