Calmer than you are.
Hell yeah!! I kicked a FG as time expired for a 15-13 win over the mighty Buckeyes!
Even though Brian Hoyer won player of the game. The real MVP was Aaron Bates. My punter. The stats say that he had 3 punts for 89 yards, and one downed inside the 20, but that's wrong. He had two inside the twenty and shanked the shit out of another. The best one was when he kicked it out of bounds at the 7. Boeckman got sacked at the 1 on second down, and I blocked the punt for a safety on fourth down. Stupid Chekwa, always recovering blocked punts...should have been a TD.
Ohio State now down 9-3. It's third and short and they line up in their goal line offense. Lucky for me, I called an all out blitz, right? Boeckman throws a quick strike to James Laurinaitis for a 47 yard TD. Ohio State finishes the half on another long drive, but MSU was lucky enough to hold them to a FG. Halftime score. Ohio State 13 Michigan State 9. Michigan State opens the half with a dud of a drive and punts. Ohio State punts. Michigan State takes control of the clock. Pounds it out for a two and half minute drive and has to settle for a FG. Ohio State goes 3 and out, and MSU goes to work again. Time winding down and MSU is driving methodically down the field. two minutes left and MSU is now in FG range. Jimmerson runs it up the middle and Laurinaitis lights his ass up and forces a fumble. The only green jersey in the area recovers the fumble, and I have to take a short break to clean-up after shitting myself. Luckily Jimmerson was able to hold onto the ball from that point forward, and the game-winning kick goes through the uprights as time expired.
Did I mention that it was Jimmerson and not Ringer that was doing the heavy lifting in the fourth quarter? That's because Ringer, my third string RB, my second string QB, and my backup DE all got hurt in the first quarter of the game. The third string RB came back after a few plays. Ringer was out for the entire fucking game, and the other two were out for two quarters. Good God!!! That was an intense game.
