NCAA09 360 Pac-10 Dynasty

We think it can cause glitches in the dynasty if other users are online when I advance. We're not positive, but it happened a few times when the data got screwed up with users logged in. So once you finish, just drop me a line by PM and hop out of the dynasty until I send a message back saying it is ready.

That's fine...but MAN what a game lol.

Let's start this off by saying that I'm an absolute disgrace. Secondly, Mark Dantonio is evidently a genius, and Javon Ringer is an all-world type talent. Never, EVER, try hit sticking a good back in this game. 41-34 Sparty. I mounted a comeback in the 4th to tie the game, and intercepted a Hoyer pass to set myself up to win off of a last second field goal. 1 run off of left tackle to inch closer. 1 more run off right tackle should get me in range and ice the game, right? Wrong. Jahvid Best receives the handoff, hops back, turns forward and is ready to meet a linebacker when BANG, the ball pops loose! With 7 ticks left in the game the linebacker scoops the ball, my tightend dives hopelessly to the turf, and the linebacker crosses the goalline, scores, wins the game, and breaks my heart in one heavy, lumbering step into the endzone. I literrally placed my controller on the ground as it became evident that I wasn't going to catch him and yelled inaudible "NO"'s at the TV screen until my roomate came it and found my dissheveled hump of existence watching the replay over and over.

Good times in NCAA!

Oh and I saved it folks in case you care to take a look!

 Nice. Definitely upload and share that video...

My WR caught a TD pass about 5-8 yards out of bounds... he would have landed on the photographers, but was pummelled even further offscreen before landing. No review on the play either.

Needed a miracle comeback against Michigan (08 season, for thread visitors). Nick Sheridan was firing lasers all over the field, and even Junior Hemingway was torching my DBs. My only two TDs at halftime were on returns, and a pick six ended the half in fitting fashion. 14-33, thanks to a safety. My dual threat QB finished with 4 picks.

Oregon came out swinging in the second half and found their rhythm. With 2 min remaining, down 8, Oregon had charged down the field. My dual threat rolled out and tried to throw 5 yards to a crossing WR, but he launches it way left of the WR and it is picked off.

Oregon forces a 3 and out, and drives upfield quickly for 6 points. Get smoked by a heavy blitz on the 2 pt conversion, failed attempt, still down 2.

Forced to recover an onsides kick, which I do. First play from scrimmage however, I get sacked for a loss of 10. On 3rd & 20, I run a double WR screen play, which is sniffed out. Scrambling around to buy time, I heave a prayer 40 yards downfield which lands just inside three defenders. Eventually we punch it in and avoid vengeance for the past two UO wins vs TSUN.

Hmmmm. Methinks that jwins has an inordinate amount of miracle comebacks. Please submit all game tapes to the NCAA 2010 league office for further investigation.

Using Oregon's playbook didn't help either... it has one pistol set that doesn't work as well as a few of Nevada's.

On a sidenote, we've got some pretty incredible names. My slot WR is Pflugrad, DE is Tukuafu, OT is Fenuki Tupou. I've also got a paysinger, bellagamba, & a defensive end named speed (I think they made that up).

Yeah, the names kick ass on that team. Throw in a Blount, a Thurmond III, and you got some wang Chung. And don't forget Dickson.

But I should have warned you... the Oregon playbook is HORRIBLE! I use a single back style playbook with them.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to tinker. I partially used Oregon's playbook for a challenge (after years of drubbing everyone by 60 in the ACC dynasty). I love the Texas playbook (lots of I-form & shotgun sets), but will experiment with less dominant personnel.

Without rain (like week 1), the pocket passer was pretty solid. I just couldn't relocate well enough when UM brought the heat.
