NCAA Women's Tournament thread

Next year should be a great year for us. We lose guards Wilburn, Allen, Battle, and Dark, but we have a great recruiting class coming in.

Cherise Daniel, 5-foot-11 guard
Maria Moeller, 5-7 point guard
Lesslee Mason-Cox, 6-2 forward
Andrea Walker, 6-5 center
Shavelle Little, 5-8 guard

The defensive intensity was non-existent last night, which absolutely befuddles me. We are one of the best defensive teams in the nation, but we just didn't have it together. Way to many open shots for BC. It also doesn't help when they make most of the open shots.

Congratulations on another great season, ladies! :oh: :io:

I caught most of the second half. I saw the Buckeyes catch up, and then BC get hot, including Dorsey's 3 threes in less than 3 minutes, which was the difference in the game.

The player guarding the screener wasn't 'showing' in order to prevent Dorsey getting an open look on the far side of the screen. I agree that the defensive intensity just wasn't there.

And BC seems better than an '8' seed. Five of their losses were to NC, Duke, and Maryland, who were in the top 5 all year.

But a season with an outright Big-10 championship, and a Big-10 Tournament title is something of which to be very proud.

Foster is never going to take this team to the next level. He is just not an elite coach and got outcoached last night. The lack of intensity falls on Foster and not calling a timeout during some of BC's runs was ridiculous. Looks like Kara Lawson was right.
