Just a public service announcement that may apply to some.

Don't know what package you need to subscribe to, but I am getting all four games played at any given time. The regional game is on 10 and 721 and the other three games are on 88, 89, and 90.

There is no extra charge and it is not publicized in any way that I am aware of - it is just there.

Sorry if this is already posted elsewhere (haven't been around much lately and haven't read many threads). Just thought I would make this its own thread so more folks would see it.
 
Time Warner SUCKS!!!!!

Last night, our cable went out. I called Time Warner and they said nothing was wrong and they would send someone out MONDAY!!! I then left to go get some milk at the store. As I drove down the road, 4 houses down, Time Warner was digging up some ground at a nearby lot. I stopped to ask what they were doing. They were putting in updated digital lines. I asked them if it would do anything to MY cable service and they said "yea, it should effect everyone in the neighborhood".....I got back from the store and called Time Warner back just to let them know....

Time Warner is one of the worst companies in America.....I have had one problem after another with them....

mine may go out 3 times a year. Has to be really, really bad out to lose signal for more than a few seconds. As for the cost it isn't much more than digital cable. Well my bill is but I order everthing.

down in south florida, the signal is often lost. the winter storms can be really bad. it's not always that the signal is lost, however. many times it's intermittent scrambling. what really sucks about satellite television is that, especially in florida, a television feed is often needed most when there is the threat of a hurricane. it's precisely at this time when one is most likely not to have that satellite feed. sure, cable goes out in these situations, too, but it's always satellite first. then again, there are no lines to fix with satellite. once the sky is clear enough, the feed returns. with cable, it may take days or longer.

I'm with BKB, WOW has a good product and their customer service has been responsive whenever I have contacted them...

I can't speak about the digital service as I only have the basic package... I do enjoy that WOW has ONN included with their basic cable package though. :)

We had DirectV for three years. Sucked balls. A hint of rain would cause us to lose signal. I was convinced that all it took to fuck up our tv was for the kids to have a water gun fight in the back yard or for a stray cat to piss near the house.

Agreed...I know with Time Warner that the Fox channels are an extra charge where they are included on the digital package on WOW.

Would agree that the net can be slower at times, but overall I am very happy with my change, hopefully I will never have to get time warner again.
