NCAA Investigation is officially reopened

I am actually glad he INVITED them! I have been saying it elsewhere and I fully believe that this is going to turn into ESPN's Memo-Gate. I am going to revel in the sheer joy of watching ESPN go down over this just like I did watching Blather, 60 Min II (now cancelled, HAHA) and CBS go down over hte forged documents!!!

Hey guys, don't worry. If we are clean, then we have the right to really publicize the results in a high-profile media briefing. ESPN will have to be there, even if they give this little coverage, but the other media will have a feeding frenzy on ESPN's reporting. There may just be a silver lining!

Geiger said Tressel did try to help Clarett buy a car through the dealership that leases cars to several Ohio State coaches and administrators. But Clarett and his mother did not meet with the dealer to make arrangements to buy the car, Geiger said, and the dealership came to Columbus several days later to repossess it.

So Mo DID get a car thanks to Tressel's help. Too bad he failed to mention to E$PN that he didn't get to keep it because he didn't pay for it! :smash:

Excellent journalism. :slappy:

ESPN did report that Geiger/Tressel told them the to-be-sold/later-repossessed story. There are a couple of places I saw that, including the latest article on ESPN about OSU inviting the NCAA for the investigation.

They still are dirty, but they did tell Tressel's side of THAT part.

I'm just saying we have to be accurate in our own accusations of hiding the truth. There are plenty of examples where they ignored obvious factors in their reporting. YSU? R Smith? Marco Cooper misquoted?
