GG Piney.

Upstate wins 33-21. Piney did a nice job keeping me out of the endzone-I had 4 FG-and ultimately, his QB liked my gray jerseys because he threw 5 completions to me. My K won POG, not sure I've ever had that before.

Now if I can just stop the freaking comeback route.... good game... seemed like my offense would have its way with you but then you adjusted and I didn't.

Can't take away all of the cheese. It would lose their core market. DBs should start to pick up on the comeback routes, or allow your DBs to play certain routes, leaving them susceptible to double moves.

Then there's the matter of watching the way the developers play in the preview videos each spring/summer :shake:

I had gone away from comeback and out routes much of this season. It was open every time I went to it, but if you blitzed the a gap with your LB's, my line didn't pick anything up to allow me more than one read.

My pass blocking was frustrating and got me happy feet. My listed starting RB had a nice game, I use my speed back more often because he can break long runs. A few of the runs my starter had would have been 6 with the speed back but he could never get in to the open field.

My CB's have good speed so they can close well, but they get beat in press easily. I had to adjust against Kemp because he ran right through press every time. I wish there was a hot route for DB's to line up 3 yards off instead of either press or 9 yards. My strategy defensively was too give you as many looks as possible between formations, coverage, and blitzes. Until the end I didn't run the same coverage consecutively.

I don't see how the comeback route can be called cheese. It works well against man to man without a press, but it should. It's almost a guaranteed interception against a zone.
I didn't even notice jwinslow's post. Agreed 100%, I've thrown plenty of pics when I've misread coverage or thrown late into man. Not to mention accuracy issues if my QB isn't rated highly enough.

I do wish there were ways to get your defense to anticipate certain routes or overplay, leaving vulnerabilities to other routes.

I have no idea how Auburn held me off. I was taking up to 300 points a week away from them while putting up 800+ of my own. Yet I never gained ground, even after an A+ visit. My best theory involves hookers and blow.
