You know how I told Olaf that he dropped all those INTs because no one ever drops INTs against me... well... this is one where it shouldn't have happened. Open guy on a 10 yard out route and throw it... then Fanatic's DE dropping into coverage made a CB type of play making up the ground on the open WR and making the reaching INT...
I did get the ball back with 15 seconds left, no timeouts on my own 3 yard line (damn you fanatic for being a punting fiend this game) so game was over.
You may not believe me, but that blitz that I ran was specifically a reaction to the out routes you had been running. It's a man-beater route and the zones have too many holes if you don't get pressure; so I was hoping just to get a guy in the way of that route. I didn't think there was any way I'd get a DL pick out of it though.
I almost attempted a 57 yard FG, but my long with this K is a wind-aided 55 yarder and I didn't trust I could make it, so I took the penalty and hoped to pin it inside the 10. The first punt that got downed at the 1 by the gunner was amazing; that's the first time I've had that happen in this game.
I'll advance as soon as Smooth is ready. Do you guys want to go through the recruiting or just do Cuts and get to the season?
