Just finished my first game... starting out as an OC at Kent State.... First game? Alafriggin Bama (I feel for Coach Hazell).... They beat the crap out of me... 56-7 I threw like 7 picks trying to get used to the CPU zone coverage.... I was impressed.

Only beef so far and maybe I'm just crazy for this one.

They STILL haven't added the "random play" feature for all plays in practice mode..u can choose "random play" out of each individual formation, but not a completely randomized selection of any play in the playbook. Not HUGE but I like to try out the feel of certain teams offenses sometimes without committing to playing a whole game with them and not having that feature makes that more annoying.

It does seem like the pass rushing has been nerfed a bit since the demo and the engine seems to be a significant improvement so far. Your still going to have your sacks/be sacked but I think it's a little more reasonable now and a bit more realistic on top of that (you aren't ALWAYS going to have very much time to throw in a real game after all) I will say if there's ONE thing it seems a little bit too easy to hit the bomb sometimes (receivers just beating their man downfield, i ran a trips hail mary towards the end of the half where all 3 receivers got well behind the coverage) but then again you've got to have protection to make those plays happen.

I was getting worked as Texas vs OU. Had more luck vs OU as FSU.

Trying out coordinator mode with sdsu. Pretty solid defensive performance against fcs se and army. The option seems more dynamic this year.

Haven't played NCAA in a while, gotta get used to things. All-American difficulty, San Diego State vs. Fresno State.

SDSU won 27-21 in OT. Strong rushing, weak passing for me, but I'll take a victory. Solid defense, they got a fluke TD in the 4th. I had trouble sustaining drives. I'd get to midfield but my passing attack failed. Got sacked on nearly every play action.

I'm waiting to start up any dynasties until I get a suitable custom roster loaded, so I just played a quick game, OSU - scUM. the only change I made was benching Pryor for Braxton Miller.

Against the CPU I tend to run the ball a lot, so I only end up 7/11 passing, but I had three long TD passes on quick passes in the seams. It seems that with the improved zone defense, the CPU prefers to run it a lot. It was that wy in the demo for me too. Then again, maybe I'll see more man-to-man as I start to play other teams.

The Power O is a thing of beauty when the other team's front seven don't warp or suction into place.

While the pass rush may be muted compared to the demo, it still seems more prevalent than last year. It seems realistic to me to be able to generate pressure with just the D-line at least occasionally, but that never really happened for me last year like it did so far this year.

To balance that out, it seems like QB scrambling has been tweaked as well. Most notably, I was able scramble up the middle and not get suctioned into my own blockers when the deense vacated the space. On the edge, I was able to outrun a DL for a change. It's more realistic when mobile QBs don't get chased down from behind by players 100 lbs. larger.

would you describe the option as improved?

i'd like to run it but in past years its been so funky with weird ass pitches and has had nothing even close to a realistic look/feel
