I missed the Big 12 title game by 1 game......

the glitch against OU and Texas where it froze when I was leading by 14 and 17 late in the game back to back weeks, and of course on the restarts both of the teams weren unstoppable

and the BS Kansas Hail Marys

i love this game

Dang, didn't realize I was holding things up :biggrin:

But I couldn't play last night anyway as I had a thing. But will get my game in around 8pm tonight so you can advance shortly thereafter.

La Tech beats Northwestern in the Texas bowl

Arby Fields had Barry Sanders like moves in the open field, and broke tackles left and right..... 11 broken tackles and 111 yards "after first hit" I couldnt stop the guy, not that my defense stopped much of anyone this year

I will be out of town beginning Monday - Thursday of next week. I should have time to do my recruiting online once we get to the off-season. However, I don't know if the players leaving and transfer stages can be done online?

I will advance to the offseason as soon as everyone is finished with their bowl games, or Monday morning...whichever comes first. Hopefully the website does all of the "season results" and shit for me, so I don't have manually type in updates to posts 3 and 4.

As a reminder to all of the old timers, and a heads up to all the new guys: The offseason is advanced daily. One step per day, and I will advance to the next step at ~6AM EST. Assuming that we advance to the offseason Monday morning, this is the schedule.

Monday 8/30 6AM - advance to recruiting week 1
Tuesday 8/31 6AM - advance to recruiting week 2
Wednesday 9/1 6AM - advance to recruiting week 3
Thursday 9/2 6AM - advance to recruiting week 4
Thursday night Buckeye game!!!...no advance Friday morning
Friday night/Saturday morning (not 6AM) - advance to recruiting week 5
Sunday 9/5 morning (not 6AM) - advance to players leaving
Monday 9/6 6AM - advance to incoming transfers - advance again to position changes...hopefully the website will let us know who transfers.
Tuesday 9/7 6AM - advance to player progress
Wednesday 9/8 6AM - advance to preseason

I played Nevada last night and they were surprisingly good! Their QB and HB are both rated 92s and the defense stifled my rush offense (and not by sending stupid blitz packages that opens up every receiver like we've seen earlier).

Nevada moved the ball on my defense all game long, but I was able to hold them to 1 TD and 4 FGs. The game was 16-7 in favor of Nevada until I was finally able to put a full drive together and make it 16-14, but then they came right back and made the game 19-14 in the 4th. I had to convert two 4th downs on the final drive and was able to run the ball in with a minute left to go, which I thought was too much time on the clock because their QB had completed around 80% of his passes to this point.

They moved the ball about 30 yards in 3 plays when I was finally able to hold them off for 4 downs on my 40 yard line.

It was a great game that in which I cussed a ton at the TV due to Nevada having 18 deflections in the game and stifling my offense for 3 quarters.

The Cinderella story from Upstate fell 6 points short of glory. I simply could not stop the running game from the Buckeyes. TP was very good in the passing game as well. I had three 3rd and 3 or 4 on tOSU's final drive and just couldn't stop them. Was a very fun game despite losing.
