Holy crap, that was a game. Had a bout of insomnia, so I got my game in.
70-69 double OT. Boise, in typical Boise St fashion, had a numerous complete BS plays. They had the completed Hail Mary pass to end half time (never had one actually completed against me). It was to the corner of the endzone after the QB evaded my sack and was being flushed out for another one. The receiver was covered by 2 guys.
I did get revenge by completing an 80 yard pass with 20 seconds left in the game on an deep out to take it to OT.
Then there was the 4th and 19 in the 2nd overtime. Too far for a kick (the computer completed at least 4 4th down and longs during the game). They ran 5 wide verticals on me, I double covered the slot and the computer threw it over my LB who had the inside bracket of the slot WR. Play went for about 34 yards to the endzone. That put them up, my only saving grace after all that BS is that the kick went off the post. I was able to score and convert the extra point in the 2nd OT.
My QB threw for 610 yards and wasn't the leading passer in the game. Boise State's was, completing 75% of his throws for 615 yards, 7 TDs, and 0 turnovers. He couldn't miss the entire game and the comp had the perfect read against every defense I threw at them.
Really, I don't know how I pulled this game out. I should have lost to the cheating SOB computer.
