NCAA Football 11 (PS3) Bad Teams Online Dynasty

I am having NO problems dispatching the likes of Army, Eastern Michigan and Miami.

Maybe I spoke too soon... I am playing an undefeated North Carolina this coming week? I will post my bitching about this game sometime this weekend.

But we do have to remember what Bluff said. We have really crappy teams. When you play the likes of Ohio St, Texas and even the likes of Michigan St, Arizona or a team like Wake Forest... they SHOULD kick the shit out of you.
Don't you dare beat NC, I need to beat highly ranked BC, NC, and GT teams if I'm to have a prayer. I just climbed to #14 after beating Miami and VT.

I have a couple of visitors this weekend... so I NEED to win. So tough shit  Plus I think I need to beat them so I have a chance to get ranked.

Has anyone else had a hard time adjusting to the overall shittiness of your skill position players?

Because I'm usually always OSU, I play with a high 90's rated QB. So when I throw to a spot, its accurate and on point. No floaters, wobblers, duck balls, anything. But then I switch to a low to mid 70's QB and think I have a guy wide open, only to have it picked or dropped or something. I really am starting to wonder if its some sort of balancing thing the game does. For instance, BG's #1 WR is not going to catch the same amount/type of passes as Devier Posey, therefore the game will make him drop passes etc...strictly because thhe QB and WR ratings are low.

Anyone who's played with a really good team, like OSU etc, are the drops and poor passes as prevelant? In the few games I got to play with the Bucks I didn't have near the same problems.

I'm playing OSU in an offline dynasty and, well it's rather easy. I think the bad teams dynasty is a hell of a lot more fun than playing every game knowing I'm going to win by at least 30 points. I was able to keep Posey, Pryor, and Herron to their senior seasons, each one ranked 98. I could throw almost anything in Posey's direction and if he touched it, it was pretty much guaranteed a catch.

To me the biggest difference between the good and awful teams are the quality of the lines. OSU's OL will always open up huge holes and downfield blocks are rarely missed. I know I'll have ample time to throw the ball as long as I account for the blitzers.

With North Texas, I always have to worry about someone blowing through the line or a TE whiffing on a LB/safety block.

I think we kinda get spoiled with knowing how the AI should be played as we have past experience with teams like OSU. I just look at it as ridiculous crap will happen to my team in every game. It's a matter of being patient, playing smart, and to not take it seriously.

For throwing I've noticed I can't just cannon most balls like I do with OSU. If I have a receiver open enough where I don't have to zip the ball in there I'll throw it mid to soft power and he'll catch those most of the time. My backup tailback (who gets more playing time than my starter) has a catch rating of 60. On screens if I throw them hard it will just bounce off of him. I have to lob the screens to him.

Ryan Mallett just treated me like his bitch. I was able to move the ball well at times, but damn, I couldn't get off the field on defense to save my life.

What the hell was I thinking joining the SEC?
Yeah, I'm only 4-4 and I only have one probable win remaining, since my final four opponents are Utah, USC, Alabama, and Texas. I am now willing to admit that I may have been a little too cocky by taking the worst team in the game, and proceeding to create an extremely tough schedule. :smash:

I regret picking the Big 12

I should had picked the Sun Belt or MAC or something

its going to be impossible to progress any in recruiting when I can only win 4 or 5 games per year

my remaining games are Nebraska Colorado Missouri and UAB, and I have to go 3-1 to even make a bowl game, im almost certain ill lose to Nebraska and Missouri

3 losses where I got fucked by the computer in each of them (Oklahoma and Texas when I was winning by 2 scores deep in the game and the game froze and Kansas and their BS fumbles and Hail Marys) did me in

You didn't help either, dammit. You could have swapped me in for Florida or something. Why take out Vandy? I'd LOVE to play them.

I bet you would. I took the lowest prestige team out of every BCS conference and replaced them with our low prestige teams. I didn't want to weaken the conference too much, and you butt monkeys are the ones that decided to snatch up the BCS conferences first.

Bluffton, I am almost positive that weaker qbs have more drops. I think it is ea's solution so they do not have to actually code in a variety of throws that are a little short, behind, etc.

I think it is also easier for the gamer to stomach a dropped pass than a pass that lands at the feet of the wr 5-7 times per game.

Jwins, thanks for the response, I totally agree.

Piney, just had te goddamn game freeze up twice in the same quarter (3rd) each time i was trailing by 9 and 12, respectively.

I'll try again tomorrow, this is the FIRST time I've ever had a freeze, and two in a row. Goddamn it.

Which dynasty did that happen in? Piney runs the other dynasty.

We will be advancing tonight. Piney still has his game to play.

Basebuck, Bluffton, and 'mania have not marked themselves as 'Ready to Advance".

I should be able to play tonight. Tried to play yesterday afternoon but my boy woke up too freaking early from his nap and I had to bail in the middle of the 2nd quarter (I was down 10-7). So you'll see 1 restart on there.
