If I remember correctly, the college basketball games didn't sell for shit. 2k9 was the lost NCAA bball game from 2k sports, then EA followed suit.

As far as EA's NBA game, the last one they came out with was so incredibly bad they straight up ended the division. They released a demo that was basically unplayable, then the early reviews noted that the full game was just as bad. In fact, I believe they even tried to change the name in an effort to redirect all the negative press.


EDIT: But I would play the shit out of an NCAA game. Especially one from 2 seasons ago with Dallas, Evan, Diebs, Willy, and Lighty. Goddamn that team shouldn't have ever lost.

I know the story it was supposed to be a joke. EA is coming out with a NBA game next year.

College Hoops 2K8 is a great game that's still supported online. The rosters are updated every year through file sharing. Unfortunately, NBA 2K12 is out, and it's practically impossible to play CH after playing NBA. 2K's product is just at a whole new level now.

2k6 was the first time I switched from EA's product to the 2k offering. Never looked back, really enjoyed it more than the "two dribbles and dunk" gameplay of the Live series.
