Yes sir.
Isn't it like 100 degrees over there? Hot soup sounds terrible. LOL

sounds awful, but thanks for your service......
I've traveled a lot and always thank service men and women in airports restaurants. Most of the time the response is a respectful and humble "you're welcome". I remember about 10 years ago there was a middle aged service man flying through DFW that was coming home from a deployment. Not sure his rank, where he was coming from, or any of that. I had the pleasure of sitting next to him on he airplane. As soon as he sat, I told him thank you for your service. His eyes welled up and he said that it was his honor to serve such an amazing country full of of grateful people. We spent the next 90 minutes talking about his family, his home, and his cars. When I say we, I bet I didn't say ten words. He was just the most excited, grateful and humble person I'd ever met.I never know what to say to that.... You are welcome?
I feel like saying "welcome" is a dushy response. Usually just say thanks.

When we arrived in Columbus and walked through the gates; there was at least 50 people there to greet him and it was probably 1:00 AM. I'll never forget my experience with him. What you service men sacrifice is astonishing to me and know that we appreciate it every day. Even when we don't show it and you feel taken for granted.
Thank you.
