Had to post real quick last night, so time to expound...
The freaking draft order KILLED me. Originally I figured no way Texas A&M falls to me and then worst case fanatic would be in the same conference. And not only same conference but the protected cross-over rival. So I get to play fanatic TWICE a season!!! Would have been an easy thing to pick my 2nd ranked team, but Olaf is just as bad as fanatic, but at least I have a historic human v human rival in fanatic... so what can I say, I must be masochistic.
I thought I would... but then really looked at them. In this dynasty I prefer 'younger' teams with a smaller senior/junior class so I can get use to recruiting and not needing a 20+ class my first year just to fill the guys I lose, this would have been the case as next season. Plus I prefer young stars, all of Ohio's stars are seniors so next season would have been REALLY tough.
But you did pick my 2nd ranked team. Thought it would have been really funny to take on Olaf with his team from last year
But it came down to style of play, Washington would have been an air raid team for me, but I really want to try spread option, and Texas A&M is PERFECT for that.
Didn't dtc say he was picking Toledo no matter what? Just saying...
I figured TAMU would have been your #1, unless you are dropping any option offense all together. Actually surprised that you had Iowa that high, I must be missing something with them.
I have a really good dark horse team I was trying to talk myself into picking over having to face Olaf or Fanatic every season. I almost wished I had a lower pick so I would have been 'forced' to pick them, but oh well.

Calmer than you are.
The under center option game is dead. I'll probably use the Ohio State playbook in my dynasty, but was going to go with some sort of "power raid" in this one. Iowa's Senior QB has really good accuracy, and the rest of the team is young and talented. They also have pipelines in Illinois, Ohio, Texas, and, IIRC, California. I have a couple of teams in mind, but I want to double check rosters and pipelines before making my decision. I really didn't expect anyone to take Iowa.Piney;2179766; said:
