Two things:

I just had to go 3 OT to beat Bama. I was up 28-10 at half and it was all but over. In the second half, Bama had there way in all aspects. Defensively they simply ran over or through my line every play. My WR couldn't get if the line for a full second, they would get open after the initial bump but the pass rush was already there. McCarron is the second coming of Peyton Manning and hit every throw.

On defense, I think my problem is the AWR ratings. I was scrutinizing that the other day and most of my FR and Soph are rated in the 40-50 range. As the play develops, they stop, run at a horrible angle, or don't start at all. Bama on the other hand had players take great angles, read the draw and screen plays - rendering them useless for the most part. Have you guys looked at your AWR ratings for new recruits? Mine have all been really low; I haven't noticed in the off season how much that rating improves. I like that AWR seems to have an impact, my curiosity is if they ever advance to a respectable number. Four to 6 points a year will still leave them as poor as a SR, and it's not an attribute that can be scouted.

Damn...Toledo's got a clear shot to the MNC game. Watch out for DTC when he starts getting recruits. As for freshman AWR, I notice it a lot in Iron's dynasty. Three of my four starters in the secondary are freshmen and they seem to bite on the play action a ton. I didn't look at the AWR ratings, but that's what I chalked it up to.

Just waiting on shehad. Also, there's a hurricane heading my way. If power goes out, well, sorry. You're just going to have to wait.

Yah the problem is my recruiting is i still don't have a good shot. My athletic facilities, program tradition, fan base etc is still really low and it's killing me. I think the road to the title is clear now hopefully. I've got a huge big ten schedule upcoming though.
