Haha.

I saw today that I snagged David Woods. And if we both win, we meet in the CCG, right?

I tried to make a late run at him, but knew that was an uphill battle.

And yep, if we both win we should meet in the CCG. You did win all of your conference games, right? I haven't really kept up.

Advanced to Week 15. There are only four games, one of which is Air Force (Fanatic) at Colorado State (MooreBoyz). The other CPU games for BN27 and jlb. I'll advance once everyone's done. Fanatic, MooreBoyz has kind of disappeared. If you don't hear back from him before you have to leave, let me know and I'll put him on auto.

Boy, they really effed up no-huddle with this latest patch, didn't they? Is it even fair to use in user v. user games at this point? I know it's frustrating as hell when I'm trying to defend against a CPU team that's running it, and it's not letting me pick defenses from the formation I was just in. It's one thing to get caught out in a mismatched defense that I called myself, it's quite another to get taken advantage of when it's a result of z bug that's been introduced to the game.

I'm also pissed off with the changes they made to the special teams playbook. That seemed like a completely arbitrary thing to do in a patch.

At least the passing game against the CPU has begun to behave a little more plausibly since the update.

Thats a good question.

I've only noticed against the CPU that I get reset to Shotgun formation on offense, which blows. I usually run it to wear out the defense, but I don't want to end up with a big play because the game fucked my opponent.

What is it doing on D?

So far I've only noticed that it takes me out of my preferred Dime 3-2-6 and puts me in Dime Normal. Honestly I haven't tried much else because all the games I've played have been against opponents that never have fewer than three players split wide. The options available in those two alignments are more different than you'd think.

That could really suck. We should time the absolute fastest hurry up/snap.

Lets say you throw a 10 yard first down. I'm guessing about 6-8 seconds from the time you press hurry up, to the time you snap (Depending on how far out receivers are).

If it puts you in the wrong formation, you'll be lucky to get the play you want in there defensively.

Finding a play is as much of a problem as having out-of-place personnel. - especially if you're as unfamiliar as I was with the formation I was being switched to. It's tough finding a non-retarded blitz in 4-5 seconds.

Yeah, and with the differences between the Normal and 3-2-6, you could end up with linebackers on WR or Corners on TE's etc...

Does it seem like a real detriment?

With it doing the same thing to the offenses, maybe it evens out the disadvantage? I don't think we could eliminate the no-huddle in User V User games, at least not in the last 2 minutes. Too much of a disadvantage i your behind, IMO.

So far I have adjusted by changing my audibles, then just calling a random play in Dime Normal and then calling an audible to bet back into Dime 3-2-6. It's kind of a mess, and if I get in a situation where my opponent is using no-huddle to run the ball, I'm fucked.

I know it would be hard to outlaw it in late-game situations, but on the other hand exploiting a bug like that would be the very definition of cheesing.

Bingo.

I would imagine self-policing would be adequate.
