NCAA 09 Online Dynasty (PS3 SIGNUPS)

FYI - I will pick my team tonight. And along with that I will create a new thread for the league and stats and scheduling and smack talk.

In the meanwhile we really need to find at least 1 more person so we can have even numbers. And we will have to figure out schedules for everyone and determine how many human games each player will have to play.

Two ways to do that... Require 2 human non-conference games (and the people that have someone in their conference ends up playing 3) or just have everyone play 2/3 human games period. Meaning the conference human games count to the total.

Oh, I know that. I've played with Army in NCAA 07 (or 06) on the PS2. I didn't play with them in 08, though, and I no longer have the game. In PS2 games, no freshmen were on the initial rosters because the service academies never released the incoming classes. I don't know if there were freshmen in 08, though.

I don't want to make this too big of a deal, though. If it's a pain in the ass, I'll just choose another team.

It makes me feel better that this was an issue on NCAA07. When I get home from work I will check out what the 08 version looked like. Hopefully it was just a one time issue or something they never brought over to the next gen games.

For some reason I didn't get a grasp of what you were talking about until I reread the above. I tried to google some info on it and the only link I found was this: GameFAQs: NCAA Football 08 (X360) Recruiting FAQ by Decker12

But then again that link doesn't work for me while I am at work, but the google summary confirmed what you were saying and it applied for NCAA08.

So there is a good chance that Army (or any service academy) won't have freshmen on their teams. I can see how that could be an issue.

But I will double check to see if the roster I have fixed that issue or not. And do some digging tonight to see if the guys that do edit rosters will fix this in NCAA09 rosters. But if they don't, I just can't see how we could add freshmen to your roster and make it fair.

I actually just found a list of all the teams and their rankings. I'm not sure if anybody has posted it or not, but I figured since I'm bored as shit at work I'd let everybody know the rankings of the team they just picked. The format will be Overall-Offense-Defense

1 - Bleed S&G - Rutgers.........................79-81-82
2 - BuckeyeNation27 - South Florida........79-81-80
3 - buckeyemania11 - Colorado...............79-81-80

I was very tempted to take Syracuse. It's hard to say no to a ranking of 72-73-78.

Also tested NCAA08 and Army had 13 freshman with the rosters I downloaded way back when the game came out. So Army is good to go for you Smooth.

Same here. Tuesday's a travel day for me as I'll be coming home from a weekend at the in-laws, so I won't get the game until Tuesday night. It's going to be a LONG drive.

Anyway, I'm going to send friend requests to everybody.

Yeah, everyone should have received a friend request from me last night if they weren't already on my friend list.

I am also in the middle of creating the new thread (I have a rough draft on a Word doc right now). I plan on posting the new thread sometime today after I catch up on some work. (probable sometime this afternoon)

A few things if anyone wants to chime in now before I start the new thread.

#1 - We will use the actual schedule for the 2008 season as our first year. I will eventually tweak it to get the human v human games in, but I want to wait to see if we get any more human players.

#2 - For now my vote is a requirement for 2 human v human non-conference games. And if you play someone in your conference then you just play a 3rd game (or 4th if you play each other in the conference championship) If we do have an odd number of teams, one team will only play 1 non-conference human v human play. But that team will be a team that plays a human game in their conference schedule.

#3 - For future schedules my first thought is a ranking limit on who you can schedule. You can schedule anyone you want, but you have to schedule one cupcake (a team ranked lower than 50th) and the 2nd game can be anyone that is not in the Top 10 (to prevent people from wanting to play the #1 team every year)

#4 - Army is an Independent... We will have to figure out how their schedule will be filled out. I'll let Smooth give us his thoughts first on how he would fill out his schedule.

Naw, Army isn't that big of a problem actually. Just unique enough to make sure we address it now instead of halfway through a season or two.

The schedule issue isn't big. Cuz most likely I will just use their future schedules to fill out their schedule or use default schedules. Or a mix of both. I just want to make sure you are aware that I won't let you schedule 5 Top 10 teams :biggrin:
