NCAA '06 Freshman Gods

MistriBuck

aka MartyrBuck
what are the most insane freshman you've seen in the game??? i've had two that were freaking unreal (i didn't land them since i was a 3-star school, but was so blown away by their #'s that i had to track them)..........one was a RB that was actually an ATHLETE that got put at RB, he came in at 88, and he was 235 lbs, which is even crazier b/c this game loves 195 lb.-205 lb. backs, i think his BKTKL was like 95, and his squat during recruiting was like 720, and a 4.20 40time..........the other was a QB who was the #1 overall player, (the other guy #2 in same year) interestingly after i already landed an 84 spd dual threat 5-star QB who came in at 80 during in-season this guy shows up in off-season and i threw the house at him cuz he was SPECIAL..........didn't land him, he came in at 89 overall, an 89 dual threat QB as a true freshman(!!!!), 89 speed, 6'6" 230+ lbs, nice power and accuracy like 70 AWR

these guys were simply insane, anybody have similar stories?

(side note: my buddy and i play a dynasty and we use the cpu team to play against each others' created teams, i offered up a deal that he would schedule the team w/ the insane RB against me so he could use him, and i would schedule the team w/ the insane QB against him, he loves bruiser backs and i love big dual threat qb's, he didn't take the deal, lol)

I'm playing with the Tarheels in a dyansty right now. I have a freshman QB that I recruited. He was from the Carolinas, recruited as an athlete. He is an 84 overall QB with TP of 90 and TA 92. He has 82 speed. His only bad attributes are AWR 59 and STR 59. OTher than that, he's a stud.

I have a RSJR QB that transfered in who is rated slightly higher. Next season, he'll have transfered to sit on the bench behind the sophomore stud.

I always thought that AWR doesn't matter if you control him, now when you simulate games he might throw quite a few picks, but I usually dont. Does anyone truthfully know if it does have an effect?

I recruited a TE once whose overall rating was 92 or something. I rarely pass to TE's, so I red-shirted him and switched him to wide receiver (he had GREAT hands). After a decent red-shirt freshman season, my 2 senior TE's retired (or graduated, if you want me to use the right word), and i got some pretty good wide receivers, so I moved him back to tight end. The guy had increased to a 98 rating, and was my impact player on offense. That was pretty annoying, since when he starts to flash, I think, "I guess I need to pass it to him," even when he's double-covered.

STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID!
