They've said Michael Scott won't return, but he was on set during the taping of the final episodes.........I won't be surprised if there's not some sort of cameo.

If he doesn't make a cameo -- I don't think he will -- I was thinking an inappropriate gift from Michael would be fine. Just a small reference.

Maybe they walk in one morning and there's the gift from Michael for Dwight or Jim or Pam or Darryl.

Although I'm sentimental, I think Thursday may have been one of the better episodes of "The Office" in a long time.

Whatever the producers had stored up, now's the time to let it go.

It wouldn't be right to have Dwight's wedding without Michael. But Michael may have had his wedding without Dwight, so it works both ways.

I'm glad they're still doing the crazy stuff like Darryl dancing inside the office.

Didn't they say something like the Finale is going to be "6 months later." Maybe Michaels wedding will have been in that time. Or maybe they haven't had their wedding yet.

I agree though, I thought last nights episode was great. I like the dynamic between Jim and Dwight right now. Still antagonists, but also the respect level.

Kevin feuding with the 2 year old was hilarious.

Agree. Last nights episode was awesome.

And yes it is 6 months from now. I think what will happen is Michael will show up at Dwight's reception or something.

Can't wait for the finale, 2 hours long!

Just 1 hour, 15 minutes, but that's still a lot longer than the regular episode.

That 8 p.m. thing is just a retrospective special.

It would be funny if Michael just shows up to the bachelor party and says, "It's after midnight, you're married."

NBC renews Community for a fifth season, possibly thanks to Amazon, Netflix
Tonight NBC revealed it is bringing back comedy Community for a fifth season. While NBC has been criticized for shifting the premiere date for this last season and dumping showrunner Dan Harmon, Variety suggests its renewal may be related to something apart from the show. The Sony Pictures-produced show could have followed the path of Cougar Town to cable but there's also new competition for content from sources like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. All are willing to pay for quality original content and would love to snatch up the audience that's already watching on NBC.

I was wondering if it was something like that. Community might not have great ratings, but NBC pretty much killed their whole comedy lineup so they had to bring back something other than P&R. A long running show like Community with a small but loyal fanbase would be prime to get picked off by a cable network or a Netflix.

I am upset that Go On didn't get a second season. I thought it was a pretty good show.

I've liked most of what Matthew Perry has done since Friends...and it keeps getting killed off. I actually downloaded and watched all 22 episodes of Go On based on this thread.

NBC has been on a steady decline ever since Warren Littlefield left. They started strong in 2012 and still managed to finish FIFTH in the February sweeps. SNL is the network's top-rated show these days: 'nuff said.
