WOW, I thought that was a joke. However, it really happened:
It's Black History Month, so the NBC cafeteria served a special meal of friend chicken, collard greens, black eyed peas, and cornbread. Well, this didn't go over well with at least one of the employees. He sent out a pic of the offending menu with his negative comments...
Someone paid attention and 2 hours later the menu was removed and replaced by a chicken sandwich.

If this was FOX News, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would still be screaming about the racial stereotyping; apparently they gave NBC a "free pass" on this. :(

I guess I'm missing all of the hype that it's bringing. It's good eating to me...

I mean, seriously, if it were to honor Latinos, the menu would most likely have mexican favorites like burritos, tacos, etc... Same w/ Italian (spaghetti, pasta).

It was being discussed elsewhere and I'm pretty sure that the person who came up with the menu was a black woman.
