NASCAR......New car ("Car of the Future")

PrincetonBuckeye

The eyes of Texas are upon you!
What are your thoughts of the new car after Bristol? And what is going to happen on a superspeedway?......This week they are at Martinsville (which is the SLOWEST track in NASCAR)....Is it going to hold up to the high speeds or not?

Many teams have complianed about it....

what do you think of the "looks" of it?

I HATE IT!!!!! And no it will not........

I believe it is the one on the top....correct me if I am wrong. But I like the sleek look of it but thats not what it is made for. LOL

It is the top one, with the wing instead of the spoiler. It's for increased safety, and supposedly will cost less for development, thus increasing competition. But the big teams will throw more money into R&D and still dominate.

It's also supposed to reduce the 'aero push', which will hopefully allow for more passing at the medium-length tracks.

Obviously, here's the car everyone wants to see.... Link

Based on tried-and-true NASCAR designs from what many consider the golden age of stock-car racing, the Car Of Yesterday is based on the racing team's choice of four-door body styles: either the '77 Cutlass Supreme, the '79 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, the '78 Dodge Diplomat, the '77 Ford Granada, the '77 Mercury Gran Marquis, or for series newcomers Toyota, the 1989 Corolla.
