Our church has no bells.
My only problem with the book and movie is the inclusion of Santa Claus/Father Christmas. I remember thinking that was weird as a kid and had forgotten about it until reading the book to my daughters.
For those who haven't read/seen it, Lewis drops these kids in this other world and sets them up (through more than a little biblical allusion) to fight and triumph over evil, etc. In the story he has Santa show up out of nowhere to give them the weapons they will need to fight. It is completely out of line with the rest of the story. It would be much more appropriate to have the weapons be found under a rock according to prophecy or something like that or just have someone "normal" give them to them. The deus ex machina breaks the flow of and doesn't add anything to the story and just doesn't make any sense. In the movie, as an adult anyway, you're trying to follow along and not be bored and then, "Holy shit, that's Santa Claus. How the hell did he get here?".
Other than that, it's ok, as it goes, even with the biblical bludgeoning.
