My grades for the class

stxbuck

Woody wore Sambas
My grades for the class, plus national school who signed the best class at that position

QB- needed-0 got-0/1, depending on Bauserman INC/A
Best national-no team signed more than 1 stud, let ND,scUM, and Clemson argue over who has the best

RB-needed 2 got-2 Saine is the next great Buckeye back, and Herron is very solid A
Best national-William Green, Joe McKnight, and Marc Tyler at USC might be the best collective RB class ever signed at one school

WR/TE needed 2-3 got-2-3 Washington and Sanzenbacher should be very good, Torrence or Clifford switches,IMO A
Best national-LSU snagged Tolliver, a bunch of other HS studs and the #1 JUCO WR in the country, Tennessee was very good and deep as well, same w/ Texas

OL- needed 3 got-1 This is my post , so I can bitch. Class of 08' or not, I feel we needed to sign more than 1 OG in this class. I'm not going to pass judgment on Blankenship, but only signing 1 guy is inexcusable. D
Best national-Texas signed a bunch of instate studs, as did Georgia.

DL- needed 2-3 DT, 1 DE got-1 DT, 1 DE Martin would have been icing on the cake, not a make or break need. I think we needed to sign more than 1 DT, although Heyward looks quick and explosive on film. C- on quantity/overall, A- on quality
Best national-Florida,LSU, and USC all signed scary good DL classes, w/ talent and #'s, although qualifying will be a bugaboo for the SEC schools

LB- needed 0/1, got-2 A+ 2 mean, fast playmakers on the outside, can't ask for more than that
Best national-Tennessee signed some highly recruited in-state guys, USC got 3 studs, no one real standout class like last year for the Buckeyes,IMO

DB-needed 4, got 5-6 A+ Quantity and quality. Clifford will a be a stud somewhere, Scott will be a stud, Oliver is getting strangely underrated by most, same w/ Torrence-if he waited until signing day, he would have been one of the top stories in the nation
Best national-Tennessee signed about 20 guys who could play either WR or DB, including the #1 in the country, Texas signed some studs as well

Overall-I give the class a B/B- due solely to the lack of linemen recruits. The staff was sloppy/overconfident/not as concerned as the fans, but they needed to do better in the trenches. As far as the skill positions go-Woooooooooeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Good post. It would have been nice to get some more O Line. Speaking of USC getting McKnight, Green, and Tyler, that gives them quite a backlog at the running back spot. They signed 3 studs last year and got another 3 this year so they may have some playing time issues for those guys in the future.

They are going to see some transfers at somepoint, given that they signed 4 or 5 RBs last year as well. Tyler could easily switch to LB, but McKnight may be too good to keep off the field. Last years RBs didn't look like anything special for USC.
