Um, j_man1, another poster here (Mili) uses that same avatar graphic (buckeye leaf). I don't know if it's a problem with him or not, but I know he's used it for a long time and is probably pretty protective of it. Is there another you might consider using? Just a thought.

3yacod: Thanks for the backup, but I gave the avatar to C-Dog to post on the site, so I really can't complain of someone uses it. Kinda nice to know that everyone associated it with me, though...

Mili, that's mighty neighborly of you. I was just trying to head off any potential problem, but it seems there is no problem to avert. And yes, I'm sure almost everyone associates that avatar with you. Hummm, maybe I'll private message everyone and set-up a "Mili's Avatar Day". One day when you log in everyone will be using your avatar. :biggrin:

Hey guys, first post...

Just made it over here from Bucknuts. I haven't posted there in a while. I have gotten sick of the same old internet arguements over and over. So now I'm here :biggrin: .

I'm just getting ready to watch Marshall and Miami (OH) and they just ran through how well the MAC has done this year. I've said for a while that Marshall has raised the bar in that conference and I was wondering what you guys think about the MAC. Is this year a fluke? Is the MAC becoming a conference to be reckoned with in the future i:e, is one of these teams going to come into the Shoe one of these years and beat us? I'm very impressed with what they have done as a conference, however, with the MAC improving so much, and now Cincinnati joining a BCS conference, are we going to start seeing true "in-state rivalries" with the Buckeyes? I think that it's still quite a few years off personally, because of the depth issue. But do you think we may start losing some recruiting battles with some of these schools? (especially in Cincinnati where there is some great high school football) With the shake-ups in the major conference, I was just pondering the possiblity of the MAC actually becoming a better conference then the Big East (in football at least).

I think parity is finally filtering down to the MAC. They have some great coaches who are doing some good things with a bit of talent. Some of the Ohio kids in particular who previously went to Pitt or WVU or other Big Least schools may give more serious consideration to staying in state.

Also, I can't help but chuckle at what the Big East has done in retaliation for losing Vtech and Miami. The ACC has alwasy been arguably the best BBall conference. That honor now has to go to the 'new' Big East.
