My DVR crashed last night

I bought a Panasonic DMR-EH55S DVD Recorder with 200 GB Hard Drive from J&R Music and Computer World a few months back. Ran me about $470 with tax and shipping...you can probably get one for under $430 now. It records either to hard drive or directly to DVD, and you can also burn DVDs from the hard drive (which I do). It does both regular and dual-layer DVDs.

Dump the dvr and learn to burn, baby! DVD burning that is!
I don't have one yet, I'm cheap.
But, it's just like a vcr!
Hundred bucks will get you going.

I'd say only 5% of what I record on my DVR is put on DVD....I have a DVR/Burner but only burn a select group of show.... most of the time the stuff it watched and then deleted... no use in wasting DVD's.

Didn't need the DVR for that, it was on again tonight at 8pm. It will be on twice next week too. I do ned to know, can someone share what the Hell is going on in Las Vegas?

Sorry, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

My DVR got toasted last Wednesday. I went two long miserable days without it, and although the replacement DVR is supposedly superior to my previous one it seems to lack the capability of pausing one/two live programs at once while switching the channel.
