NASHVILLE - In the end, the senior class of the University of Kentucky football team accomplished what it wanted to - it beat a Top 10 team, put the Wildcats back into the national spotlight and won back-to-back bowl games.
It wasn't pretty, and it went down to the final play, but the Wildcats were able to hold on for a 35-28 win over Florida State Monday in the Music City Bowl at LP Field.
It marks the first time since 1950-51 seasons that UK has won bowl games in consecutive seasons.
