Multiple shootings at Va Tech

Thump's right, there are people who will joke in any situation, including tragedies like this one. I hope we don't see much of that around here.

Wow. This is the second shooting incident on that campus this year, if I recall correctly. Very sad for people there and, as someone said, hard to believe for what is essentially a rural campus.

Any chance that this is related to some kind of gang thing? Seems funny that there is one set of shootings and then two hours later someone shoots a lot of people on the other side of campus.

That is what is assumed so far, but ballistics tests have to be completed to confirm that this guy shot up both places.

It was initially reported that they had the guy in custody and were looking for a second shooter. It was then reported the one was dead.

i highly doubt that it was gang-related. this was most likely a disgruntled student. in fact, one student reported that the shooter appeared to be east asian. a fair portion of vt's student body is east asian.
