Much ado about nothing....

Not lame to worry about our key recruit and it's effect on OSU football.
Besides if we didn't worry. It would mean we didn't care about a guy who could compete for a Heisman in the future!

If anything this is only good. USC pulled out all the stops to try and get Wells and it shows how good he is for ol Petey to pursue him. Of course we already know he is great but this is only affirmation.

Call me a "Nervous Nellie" but I wonder if Petey is putting on the pressure because Pittman is making some big yards, and as a sophomore, will have two years to go. I'm sure Slick Petey is showing CW that his stable of running backs will be diminished soon, and his 4 & 5***** linemen keep piling up like cordwood. Since Fred Davis caught his first TD Saturday night, he looked like a kid with his first trip to the candy store.

We can't seem to recruit a whole line, but seem to put in one piece at a time (Cordle and Smith will be a twofer next year), but I don't see a whole lot of difference between USC and OSU in that area. USC has a more petigreed stable of qbs than we do (and always will), and that West Coast type offense means more passing.

Someone ask Mrs. Wells if we can come up and refresh and s&g paint on her house (at least until early February).
