Moving at the end of this month to San Antonio. Lived in Ohio all my life. It will be a big change, but I'm very excited about it. The wife has been working and living down there for some time and loves it. We have already watched some OSU events with the San Antonio Alumni group. It's good to have buckeyes everywhere you go.

Embrace the Spanish culture and you'll have a great time.
Do some traveling through the southwest while your there. Visit Austin, Santa Fe, see the Rio Grand Gorge in Taos. Go to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta! http://www.balloonfiesta.com/
Eat lot of green chili. Drink a lot of local beer. Including New Belgium. Texas beer(Shiner Bock) sucks. Eat lots of barbeque!
Go watch the Cowboys. The Broncos. Learn to ski. Kayak.
Learn to stay cool in SA and Texas.
Do not go over the border!

So far we have done...

Saltlick BBQ - Beef Ribs are one of the top 5 best things I have ever ate.
Austin - Stayed at BB off of South Congress, walked around campus and sixth street etc.
Riverwalk/Alamo/Market Sqaure/ Mi Tierra
Caverns.

On the list...

Tubing on one of the rivers... is this any good?
Kayak? Where is the best place to do this?
Spending a weekend in Fredricksberg or something similar sometime in May
Buying a house (hopefully with pool)... we came close a month ago but are still looking.
More BBQ
