Most recognizable CFB helmets (no initials/name)

Milinai,

Why don't you consider the "U" an initial, especially since many refer to Miami simply as "The U."

Because the average college fan may not know that. They would most likely know that was Miami's helmet by seeing it on TV.

My point about initials/letters on the helmets was that in many cases someone with zero knowledge of college football would know UCLA's and LSU's helmets because it's speeled right out, and those with little knowledge could at least narrow down his/hers guesses by looking at the initials/lettering. For example, someone who knows very little about football but has at least heard of the Nebraska Cornhuskers would be able to guess Nebraska's helment because of the "N". However, that same person, having also heard of Penn State before, may not be able to guess right on Penn State's helmet because there is no "P" or "PSU" to give him/her a hint.

yeah, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, the Bighorn Mountains, Fossil Butte Lake, Jackson Hole, the Snake River, the Red Desert, there ain't shit but dirt in Wyoming. :roll1:

seriously... that's the dumbest thing I've read here in a long time.

Listen, I have lived in Wyoming for over 10 years. How the fuck do you think I got my name. I lived in Cody the last 4 years before I moved to Montana. Right at the base of the Big Horns. 60 miles from Yellowstone. I have spent more time in the Rocky Mountains than I have anywhere else, save Alaska, and assuredly more than you or probably anyone else here. I know, first hand, what there is in Wyoming. With the exception of the EXTREME northwest potion of the state. The isn't SHIT, but DIRT, in the entire state. Now, if you have been there on vacation, good for you, but I strongly doubt that you have anywhere near the idea of what is going on in Wyoming that I do. You may think that I have a stupid opinion, but at least I have a frame of reference. Or as it would seem, the only frame of reference that matters here.

I've only driven through a small section of the state (SE part), but the Grand Tetons look gorgeous.

Grand Teton is truly on of the most breathtaking mountains in North America. not for its size, but for how it seems to simply rise out of nothing in its specific location. Yes, it is in the middle of a mountain range, but to look at it as you go by it, it doesn't seem that way, especially approching it from the south. It seems to rise right out of Jackson Lake. The view from the park isn't as good, but is still a cause to stop and notice. The further south you go for about 50 miles, the country is beautiful rolling mountain meadows, then turns back in to desert. I wish that the Yellowstone area was not soooo overrun with tourism, that is one of the reasons we left Cody, but from the centre of Yellowstone, for a few thousand square miles, the country is almost as beautiful as it gets.

On highway 72, running south towards the Wyoming border, there are some foothills that look like a woman's torso from the waist up, lying down on her back. The two highest points form what appear to be some very nice looking breasts. Apparently, mother nature admires the female form enough to share with all.

Just to add to the helmet discussion, for those of you that may not have seen this site before, it shows the helmets for EVERY college or pro team ever (including CFL, XFL, USFL, Division II, III, NAIA). Just click on any league down the left, it will show you what each team's helmet is, and if you continue to scroll on the right will give you a historical rundown of basically every helmet they've ever used. A great site to kill some time.
