Most overused cliche in football?

I hate it when announcers say the player is "out with a knee" or whatever....that's absolutely annoying. I guess the healthy players don't have knees/elbows/ankles/etc.....

Another annoying thing is when basketball announcers say someone is "long"

I don't need to know that....

Least favorite in College Football "Florida Speed" (or SEC Speed, or Southern Speed or Texas Speed, or West Coast Speed, or you get the idea, Regional Speed).

Most overused in any sport - "he is really in the zone"

Least useful use of a cliche - "3 yards and a cloud of dust." Most often employed as the false contrary to Regional Speed attempting to prolong an outdated picture of football in the Power conferences. Which reminds me, that is in fact what "Power" conference was once taken to mean, they played "Power" or running football, rather than finesse, or passing, or whatever.

College: Anything that concerns speed and who has/doesn't have it.
Pro: TO

edit:
didn't realize this was in the pro forum.
Honestly, I only watch the NFL anymore to see the Browns, I just cant stand all the drama (players like TO) and the stupid penalties that much anymore.

Mine: "He can really move around in space." (Up until recently, this was called "the open.")
this is by far the phrase that i hate the most. i hate it... absolutely hate it. heck, i heard rick majerus use it earlier this week while a commentator for a college basketball game.

herbie loves this term. can't stand it. having swagger, or at least too much of it, is one problem with sports today.

oh, and though they're not really cliches (lord, i hope that they're not), i can't stand anything that berman says, especially his screaming "whap!"
