i would say zwick if he could put on such a good show for alteaset one more game.

Anthony Schlegal
What he has done in the last half of the season is impressive. It must've been extremely tough for him, being the best LB in the MWC in 2002, if not the best all-around player next to Colorado State's Bradlee Van Pelt, then coming into the defending national champ's team and not even being the 3rd or 4th best LB on the team. On top of that, Dantonio left, so much of his progress through 2003 was wiped out as he started over with Snyder, learning infinately more complex schemes than he ever had to know at Air Force.
Schlegal wasn't that bad at the beginning of the season, given that he was mostly lost and playing on instinct and physical ability the first 4 or 5 games. I think the difference between Bobby Carpenter and him was as plain as night and day at the start of the season, but over the last 4 or 5 games Anthony turned into a beast. My only concern about him - similar to Robert Reynolds - is that he is so ferocious he's going to cost us about 100 yards in personal foul penalties next season. Anthony goes full-out until the whistle, and even a second or two after.

You always hate to see so many players graduate, but I have really enjoyed watching some of the underclassmen show their stuff this year. Many of them deserve the "most improved" award, including Troy, Ashton, Quinn, Anthony, and Teddy. I can't wait to see this team next season!
