Most Impressive win ever?

Maybe the 1974 Rose Bowl, in which #2 Ohio State beat #7 Southern Cal by the score of 42-21 - a bigger stage against a better opponent on essentially their home field.

Or 1968, in which #1 Ohio State beat #4 Michigan 50-14 - really special because it was The Game and Ohio State went on to win a national championship.

But 59-0 in a B1G championship game is pretty damned impressive.
I watched the '74 Rose Bowl, and it wasn't near the blowout. IIRC, Archie busted a long TD run late to up the final score to 42-21. But, it was sweet revenge for the 42-17 (fuck you, Sam Cunningham)beatdown they gave us in the Rose Bowl the year before.

As for the 50-14 trouncing of Michigan in 1968, Michigan actually scored first to lead 7-0 and we were up only 21-14 at halftime in a closely fought game until we blew it open in the second half.

The game against Wiscy was a complete beatdown from the opening kickoff. Wiscy was never in the game at any point...

The thing about the NC title game is the offense didn't play that great, the run game was non existent outside of Krenzel, had a missed FG and a bad fake fg attempt, and needed a very fortunate late flag to win that game. It was a great effort by Ohio St don't get me wrong, but at the same time it was a sloppy game (just like the entire 2002 season, and a game that needed to be ugly for us to win).

But I mean I have never seen an OSU game where every unit, every position was just firing on all cycles. You add that we were a 4 pt dog, and won by 59? Just, wow

It's not really a fify, but more of an along those lines that makes me think of the most impressive win I've ever seen the Buckeyes earn.

Last night was an amazing effort by our guys. It will be watched millions of times by millions of fans. It was probably the most Dominate performance I can remember. My all time most impressive win goes to that scuffle in the desert. The Buckeyes were given about zero chance of winning against the better athletes from Da U.

Which is why I hope the same thing happens against Alabama. Already no one is giving us a chance.

It only lasted for a half, but OSU was up 56-0 with 2 minutes left in the first half against #25 Iowa in 1995. 7 tds in 8 possessions plus a pick-6. Iowa was a pretty good team....that was amazing.

Of course, Iowa was gifted a TD by the refs at the end of the first half and out scored OSU 28-0 in the second half, but those first 28 minutes were the best football I've ever seen.

EASILY the most complete effort I've ever seen a team put together against Wisconsin. Complete evisceration from the word go. It'd be tough for me to remember another loss that even came close to this one.

I think it was pre Barry but I remember da U coming up there in like 88-89 and doing some unmentionable things.

Yep. 1989. The height of the Don Morton era at UW. 51-3.

PSU put a pretty good beatdown on Wisconsin in 2008. 48-7 or something like that.

That puts the B1G CG in perspective now that you mention it.

As bad as that Miami game was, it was a complete talent mismatch and it still wasn't as bad as this one.

Well, you are never as good as you look or as bad as you look in one of those kind of games. I think those two teams could play 100 times and OSU couldn't make it 59-0 again. They'd win a lot more than they'd lose but not like that.
