As a 42 yo OSU alum and life-long hard core Buckeye fan, I've attended at least a few games every year since 1981. I've made most of the big games since then, and for the big ones, I've not minded paying the price for good seats (ie-Michigan anytime, Notre Dame in 95, Michigan St. in 98, WSU in 2002, UW in 2003 for the post NC lovefest, and The NC game of 2002).
I've never seen prices like those for the Texas game on Sept. 10. Is my memory failing me, or is $300 to get in the door, $500 to get to A deck in the corner, and $800-1000 for Prime seating unprecedented? I've seen $500 on the 50 before, but nothing close to this. Can anyone recall anything close?
While the prices will fall close to gametime, my broker contacts feel that this still will be the top priced ticket in OSU history.
Of course, I know I have to be there, so it's time to start saving!
