You kids stay off my lawn!
Another beautiful day in the neighborhood here in southwest Ohia. I want to go play golf but it looks like the rain may get here sooner than called for. Or maybe I'm just procrastinating because my game is really going south in a hurry. After years of learning to live (and adjust my aim) for a sure fire slice, my left hand is now pulling the club to the left. The ball is following.

Strickland is enjoying unprecendented first term popularity. He even did well among the GOP faithful. He's probably keeping a shrine featuring vigil lights and Bob Taft's photo in his office and giving thanks to God to having Taft's act to follow. Could this mean the Ohio Democrats could actually become a party again?

Anybody want another cup? I'm going to post this and then slip down to the kitchen and refill my mug.

I'm just diving into my first cup now, while looking out the window here at work and seeing bright sunshine. I'd love to be headed out to the links, slice and all, so I don't want to hear it. Get out there and tee off already!

Just finished my morning cup from McD's from 8am.... mmmm that yummy cold coffee taste with the grounds shifting in the bottom.
Not much of a Golfer but I would like to hit the driving range before I try the links again for another 9 holes of shame.

Anyone who calls coffee "Java" needs to have their balls removed.

Thanks to DeB. Yesterday was beautiful and a bad round of golf beats a day of sitting on your ass or working hands down. It's damp, gray and wet this morning, so golf would be out of the question... hoping it clears up soon.

Back in my teachifyin' days this was the day, rainy, gray, damp, sandwhiched around two beautiful days, that was inevitably picked for either the trip to the zoo or Field Day. Granted the day was always picked a year in advance, but the unerring ability to pick the wrong day in May was incredible. Add to it that it's that time in the school year when kids and teachers are barely talking to each other and then they find out that Field Day is cancelled. It just about puts both sides over the edge, the kind of day when you suddenly wonder why Columbine doesn't happen with far greater frequency.

My personal theory is that a wise principal would keep Field Day a secret. When you read the paper and it calls for mild, sunny weather... when you drive to work and you HAVE to put the windows down because it is so damn beautiful... that is the day you should pick up the mic and announce, "Everybody outside, Field Day!"

I'm going downstairs for a nother cup of coffee and a pee, back in a sec...
