And that was in the late 80's(class of '90)! PC has destroyed this country and is breeding a bunch of whinning little pussies! Everyone gets a trophy for participating and it's all about having fun...BULLSHIT! It's about WINNING AND LOSING (throw in team work too!). This society no matter how you look at it or what type of life you live; be it business or pleasure is about WINNERS AND LOSERS...HAVE's and HAVE NOT's! I'm tired of these PC pricks! Like that youth baseball team somewhere near Columbus that got kicked out b/c they were TOO GOOD! Fuck that! PC has infiltrated and destroyed the best lesson in sports!

I'm with you (also class of '90).

I can't believe we are letting kids forget that success is not a birthrite and winning is something you earn. I can see in some cases where people could be offended by things, but finding a gun in a team logo offensive is just the bottom of the barrel. How did we get this low?

We should be ashamed.

Someone should tell them that their mascot looks like one of the Village People. They should call them the NM State Ass Wranglers.

Just for fun - in light of Pete going Pistol-less, what about those quirky school names, and nowhere are they more quirky than at the High School level.

Here is a list of some High School Nicknames - often with links to their school sites.
Still plenty of Indians and Cowboys and what-not out there at the grass roots level.

There is the Savannah-Johnson Atom Smashers - who's web-site says "Under Construction" - bet it is permanently.

The Paho High School Daggers - Wonder what kind of Mascot they have?

Orlando Colonial has the Grenadiers -- and surely their imagery's not right.

Then on the level of self flagellation there is the Watersmeet, MI Nimrods

Plus for those who thought Pete having a Pistol was too politically incorrect, there are the Chillicothe Ohio Sherman Tanks

If you people are serious about supporting your gun rights check out this nationwide ISP http://www.outdoorsunlimited.net/

I use them and they donate 1 dollar per month from every subscribers monthly fee to help support gun, hunting, fishing and trapping rights! They have been around for about 5 years and they have already given almost 200,000 dollars to the NRA alone. Not to mention the other 30 some organizations they donate to.

The NCAA didn't force them to do shit, the school decided to do it themselves. This podunk school changing its logo in order to sell more merchandise does not mean that the liberals are going to take your guns, that your sons will be forced to wear pink, or that you will be forced to move to a communal farm. Its just a logo for a team that nobody cares about, not everything is a liberal conspiracy

Edit: and it also makes little sense why they'd have a mascot on a campus that doesn't allow guns and I'm assuming fake guns are probably not allowed either since those seem to get treated just like real guns no matter how fake they look, so it is probably a way of getting around having a defenseless aggy on the sideline, now he can at least rope up enemies, without a gun or a lasso he'd be screwed

massive blood loss and trauma... now THAT kills people.

i think its pretty clear that the pc groups need to take IMMEDIATE action against these two vial henious things. the moment they are outlawed is the same moment hundreds of thousands of irreplaceable lives are saved. i find it very disturbing that these pc groups have failed so blatantly to take action. we must take action now!!!!!

It's a traditional logo/mascot! Don't tell me that the NCAA doesn't pressure schools to "clean up" their mascots and logos.

I didn't say anything about children wearing pink. I'm just tired of schools forgetting about tradition.
