Anyone out there ever worked on a dairy farm? anyone? anyone?
I had to survey a dairy farm once, and we had to wade thru at least knee-high cow manure to survey the concrete which was covered by it - and I'm talking about a large area, probably 50 ft X 100 ft. The smell wasn't too strong until you stepped through and broke the crust on top, then all the ammonia and sh** smell would come out - that was a fun day :(
the guy I worked with at the time said when he was growing up on a farm he fell into a manure pit - up to his shoulders - he said that was the worst thing that had ever happened to him.

You're friend should consider himself extremely fortunate as most people who fall into manure pits don't survive.They are quickly overcome by the toxic gases.

I've heard of entire families dying in those pits as one member tried to save the previous and are dead within seconds.

I know a guy who was standing around while his dad was trying to break the cap off of their septic tank. The cap hadn't been off for a long time so it was sealed on so tight that the only thing they could do was break it off with a sledge hammer. The guy was standing about 10 feet away when the cap gave and shit exploded out of the tank. He must have been smiling when it happened because he had shit buried in the sides of his teeth. I can't imagine how nasty that would be.

Did this mental fucking giant ever think of calling someone who installs and pumps put septic tanks to do the work for them?
