Just because I miss school means I don't care about my education?

I care about my education alot. As for the theory of if you go to school all the time means you care about your education. I know many kids in my school that could care less about being there.

But they are there and you are not?

Me...I care about My job....so much so that I stayed extremly late last night and the night before in order to get stuff done that needed to be done for some special events that We had going on. This dispite the fact that I have a 7:30 am exam on Weds. and then had to drop someone off at the airport at 6am on Thursday, that is two day of about 4 hours of sleep between all of that time.

I'm not saying I want a medal for it, not complaining about it. Just pointing out what caring about something is.

That is showing you care about something. Busting you ass and going above and beyond what needs to be done. Don't give me crap saying you care about your education when you wouldn't even find a way to make it two miles down the road to get to school.

All I'am saying is that at times there is personal reasons that come up in a person's life(in this case: car issues) that don't allow them to get somewhere or do something(in this case: going to school). That doesn't mean that they don't care about it.

Can we just drop this?

I'm going to beg to differ on this subject. All through middle and high school, my siblings and I were permitted three "personal days" per year. On the condition that there wasn't a test or major assignment due, we were permitted to take the day off, no questions asked. I don't know that taking a personal day would indicate that I didn't care about my education.

Now granted, not every situation is the same and certainly, no two people are the same. For all I know, TG05 could hate school and not give a rat's ass. However, he could also really enjoy school. Perhaps he just recognized that today was not going to be an intensive day and decided not to go.

Personal issues are things like family emergencies( death, accident et), perhaps a illness, but having a car that won't start that is only 2 miles away from where you need to be is not a personal reason. Ever hear of a cab? neighbor? Trying to start the car a little later?

I will let it drop though, because I care about My job and need to go to it. Heck maybe I'll even walk there if my car doesn't start

grad must still be crushed by paterno's comments last night.

I think it's very possible to not care that much about your education in HS, and still get it together in college.
