Mom Hires Stripper For Underage Son

I'm sure the other parents wouldn't have allowed thier children to attend that party if they had known that there was going to be a stripper there. I don't see a problem with the mother hiring a stripper for HER son but not for the other neighborhood kids...

I heard that she got permission from all of the children's parents. As long as that is the case I have no problem with her getting the stripper for her son. I'm pretty sure that I snuck into a titty bar when I was 16 or 17.

I think it's terrible. For one since the child is not of age to go to strip clubs or buy pornography then it would seem legally wrong. Second, I feel it's morally wrong and bad parenting to hire strippers for a minor. Third, it is very possible that many of the other children's parents were unaware of what was going on and just thought it was another birthday party. Here's to bringing back morals into society.

If this is the case then I don't see a big problem with it. I would rather just see the kids do the work like sneak into a titty bar but leave the parents out of it.

I can see how the authorities would be involved in this. I mean I was sneaking into night clubs and strip bars when I was underage, but for the stripper to actually know that the kids were underage is a different story.

You're allowed to buy alcohol for your underage children in bars in Ohio.... so... And I really don't really know the statute- if there is one- regarding 'live nude girls' but... same kind of thing I guess.

As far as it being morally wrong and bad parenting... I agree (not to mention reasonably creepy... I sure wouldn't want a lap dance with my mom next to me on the couch)... however, I also don't think its my business what other parents are teaching their children, (provided it doesn't lead to a tangible risk to everyone else... )

Heck, I went to my first strip club at age 14. If you are from Cleveland everyone knows about the Executive Den at E. 185th in Euclid/Cleveland. :pimp:

Are you sure about that? I've never heard of anything like that before... not saying that you cant, just never heard that you could.

Sure can... and if you are married and your spouse is over 21 they can buy alcohol for you as well... (obviously if you're not.)

Note- and I didn't think about this, that it is illegal for you to serve underrage pesons that are not your children even with their parents' consent.

I have heard that before SIMV. As long as the parent is with the minor and the bar itself allows it then it is ok. I haven't ever actually seen the law but....

I've heard that one before and in fact know of at least one friend whose mom took her to a bar before she was 21 to celebrate something.

From the story itself with my few cents worth ...:

Police spokesman Don Aaron said minors are not permitted in adult establishments.
He was not in an adult establishment, and that's all that the law apparently covers
“A person shouldn’t be allowed to circumvent that law by hiring a stripper, a lady who took all her clothes off and spent a good amount of time dancing around minors,” he said.
So Don thinks it is OK to re-write the law in an ad-hoc manner. Wonder if the judge will side with him? (If so In my honest opinion, that would be a very bad thing - legislating from the bench, ignoring sanctity of the home and all that).
Anette Pharris took photos at the party and tried to have them developed at a nearby drug store. Drug store employees notified authorities, police said.
Gee -- what is this -- has the whole State of TN turned into a bunch of Quislings? And where was the common-sense of the police? No applicable statute = no action to be taken.

“Who are they to tell me what I can and can’t show to my own children?” the mother said.
Hear, hear -- though I don't agree with her choices -- even the Police were not able to find a specific RELEVANT law under which to charge her.

Moral of the story -- Get the kid a digital camera when you hire a stripper for his birthday party.

That way you don't have to make less private what you do in your own home.
