I don't understand why everyone cares so much.

The kid screwed up a long time ago, but I don't wish for him to live a life full of tragedy. I don't wish that upon anyone.

I'd prefer he turn his life around and be happy.

I don't think everyone does care so much, GD. There were times when a thread with his name on could attract 100 posts an hour, now almost no interest.

I think most of us have moved on. What he attempted to do to Ohio State was disgusting, but he has had to learn the hard way that these things come back to bite you. His major worry now will be staying out of prison, and if he does that, then getting control of his ego and adjusting his perception to the realities that now exist.

He will never be Maurice Clarett, football hero. He could still be a productive and happy member of society. I hope it isn't going to take a prison term to get him to realize that.

MoC at it again

Today's Enquirer, a paper that runs the Notre Dame game above the fold and the OSU game below, ran a story on a condo fire in Columbus.

"A fire gutted the first fl;oor condominium where former Ohio State football star Maurice Clarett was staying with his girlfriend, two other couples and a baby..." They then went on to talk about MoC robbing a couple and a traffic ticket his girlfriend got in Younstown on March 30, Mo decided to remain in the car hoping a TV crew would go away and saying, "Don't make me look bad on the news." The story also states that the condo belonged to MoC's aunt, Kathy Thomas. I hope hse had insurance because it's going to be a long time before MoC sees the kind of money to repay $120K.

I do have a soft spot for the guy... somewhere... and I'm sure the university would love to "get this behind them' as they surely have done nothing to deserve this kind of trash reporting.

Would that MoC would start listening to someone with his best interest at heart.

Old News and as far as what you quoted, he didn't do anything to deserve that.

I don't wish anyone's home burn down, except for mass murderers.
