he has been telling me how the Raiders are "at least" a .500 team and how much better JaMarcus Russel is going to be this year :lol:

Sometimes, you can analyze something to death and convince yourself of anything. Murphy got two feet down, and then fell to the ground. How many seconds does he have to possess the ball in the end zone before the play is over? :roll2:

It really should be easy to tell what is a catch and what is not. They overanalyze this stuff to the extent where down is up and up is down by the time the ref comes out of the booth. They do it in college and the pros and it's a shame.

That was a catch by Murphy, no doubt in my mind.

Surprisingly decent game in the first half. Seymour already contributing, and Tomlinson owners already questioning that pick.

Can someone explain why Jamarcus Russell makes more money than 95% of the league? Surely there has to be a better reason than tall + big arm.

The Raider offense suddenly started clicking when he went to the sidelines, and retreat Gradkowski came in. One blown coverage on a wide open deep ball later, and his failures are forgotten.
