  • Plenty of fireworks already in this one, 14-14.

Michael Jenkins just dropped a 3rd down pass, and they said he hasn't scored a TD in 14 games. I really thought he'd be a good pro, especially once the Falcons turned to a passing QB and added a stud RB. For whatever reason, it hasn't panned out for MJ.

Strange to see Malcolm Jenkins hit him and smile at him after the drop.

They don't throw to him as much as White. He has his moments, but he's not a number one WR for whatever reason. The Falcons slot WR Harry Douglas went down in training camp with an ACL, and he was looking promising as a third threat. But with White, Gonzalez, and Turner, they just haven't thrown to Jenkins that much. He shows up every now and then.

    He did last year.

He had 50 catches for 777 yards and 3 TDs last year (1 versus Detroit and 2 against Oakland). I wouldn't exactly call that a breakout season.

It was a good year and he made some clutch catches, especially the one vs. Chicago at the end of the game which put them in position to kick a game winning field goal. You don't have to go to the Pro Bowl to have a good year, IMO.

I agree you don't have to go to the Pro Bowl, but for a first round pick those numbers are a tad paltry and if he wasn't a former Buckeye we wouldn't even notice him.

I like him and I'm rooting for him, but it is what it is...

There's a difference between being a star and being a solid pro. Mike Jenkins is a perfect example of a solid pro.

He finished 43rd in receiving last year, in between Zach Miller and Matt Jones. He's currently tied for 95th with Cleveland RB Jerome Harrison.

Again, I like him, but it is what it is...

I agree. He's solid, last year was much better. Turner was having a better season, no one expected Ryan to play the way he did, White had a 1300+ yard season, and so Mike was given opportunities.

This year the offense hasn't played as well as people were expecting.

The geezer kicking contest is proving to be a real suckfest.

Mike Nugent's agent should call both of these teams tomorrow morning.
