MNF: 49ers at Cardinals(-9.5)

I would say draft a quarterback, but they did that with Alex Smith a few years ago (who may be a bust). The Brett Favre immitation with that shuttle pass didn't work.

Weird that the Niners wouldn't go with a Top 10 rusher to win the game on the final play.

Well, they're the Niners for a reason.

The coaches were yelling "spike it" from the sidelines when the offense managed to blow 15 seconds. The clock management is more on the players who were fucking off than it is the coaches IMO.

Running Michael Robinson on that last play, on the other hand, is on the coaches. Would've been nice to see a pass, but if we're going to run, run it with fucking Frank Gore.

Smith is a bust. No "may be" about it.

the 4th and 1 that the Cards scored on was a pretty play that would have worked for them there.

Anything that wasn't what they called would've worked better. A pass would've been my preference.. they just allowed us to pass all the way down the field.

Someone needs to do a study on how many times a team has returned the opening kickoff for a TD, and then went on to lose the game.

Tonight obviously, da Bears did it in da Super Bowl, Glendale, and there has to be more.

Seems like being spotted 7 points would be a blessing.

Not to get down on Singletary or anything, but is it just me or do his press conferences seem like pep talks. lol.

that's part of turning a team around isn't it? you have to change the image of the team, and the best way to do that is through the media. i'm no coach, but that's my .02

I do feel sorry for any 49er fans. That's how I felt after the Cardinals vs. Bears game on MNF - and numerous other occassions. That was a rough ending. I would be calling for Martz's head!! Changing personell and wasting time instead of just using the current personell to go down and spike the ball and save time? You could tell Singletary wanted to rip Martz's head off at the press conference.

As a Cardinal fan, I'll take any W I can get. I do think Singletary is good for that team and needs to be kept as the permanent HC.

It's too bad for the Niners that Martz's huge ego managed to make it out to Cali. He drove me nuts in the STL.

You've got one of the best backs (gore) and you give the rock to robinson? What the Hell?

Another stellar game by Kurt, who I now proclaim:

the GREATEST QB OF THE MODERN AGE!:)
