MLB Instant Replay: Is it time?

Instead of all this outcry for instant replay, how about hiring some umps that don't suck or have an agenda? Instant replay should be saved for close or difficult calls, not used as a crutch for incompetence or egomania.

To be fair, umpiring home plate for 7 hours would make anyone tired and fatigue screws up judgment. But this guy clearly has an ego problem, having tossed McLouth early in the game for just the slightest protest. MLB umpires go out of their way to escalate conflicts then toss guys for fighting back, which makes them assholes, but even if they didn't MLB's resistance to using instant replay is just a bunch of old guys in a room being stubborn.

Imagine if a call like the Bucs-Braves clincher decided a playoff or world series game...
