Here's the play. It's the baseball equivalent of a tip drill:The Tigers had the play reviewed just to make sure the ball didn't go over the wall and bounce back into the field of play. It did go over the wall, for sure, but it deflected off Abreu's glove and went right to Rafaela. That's your garden variety 9-8 putout. You don't see too many of those each year.

I see that MLB has caught the NBA fever and are promoting a womens pro softball league like it's going to be some hot commodity and people will actually pay money to watch it.
Day late and a dollar short imo. You are pushing something in a way that is going to get you one the wrong side of the current scorecard in American culture wars.
NBA loses money on the WNBA, you are going to do the same with softball no matter where anyone falls on the left/right spectrum.

Cal Raleigh might be my new favorite player. He gets no recognition but just continues to murder baseballs in Seattle. It probably helps that I was a backstop while before I blew my knee out and I have a soft spot for the position but I don’t think I've ever seen a Catcher blow up like this season.
I'll try to quit posting about him but it's really ridiculous what he's doing.
