MLB General Discussion (Official Thread)

Don’t disagree with those criticisms but looking at the chart, the cubs WS was historic and the other ones had large market teams: LA, ATL, Boston, DC, and Houston/Philadelphia (a bit more niche but still large markets). It’s true the mlb could do much better marketing their players and Manfred blows ass, but I think that the two franchises this year don’t have huge followings nor do they rival any truly large markets (Houston maybe, but the Astros “popularity” in ratings is probably more due to other fans hating on them than their own fans).

This. Partly why I was hoping Philly would make it bc at least I wouldn't have to read about "omg no one is watching"
