Thoughts?
Personally, the games I’ve watched have had so much better flow that I don’t notice anymore. I’m occupied actually enjoying baseball happen.
Agreed. I watch tennis which has a serve clock now but the good chair umpires know when to give some leeway. At crucial points, after a big rally, when the crowd is still settling/cheering, etc. the ump will be slow to start it or take it off the board if the player is at least approaching the serve line or stance.my only quibble is i dont think you should be able to get strike 3 on a violation. thats just me and i wont bat an eye if that doesnt change

I like the framework of the clock, but it doesn’t need to be rigid, especially on 2 strikes or when it gets to playoff time. Dangerous game to give a little, especially if one side thinks the other is pushing the limit. But it’s been a huge positive change so I don’t mind if there’s some pullback or leeway, imo.
And there’s always going to be bickering, it’s baseball
Since this video, the Padres lost their playoff series to the Phillies and are 7 games under .500 halfway through this season.
Apple’s video quality is exceptional. I don’t know the ins and outs how, but I enjoy their live sports.Watching the Brewers/Pirates on AppleTV+ and am really in love with how clean, uncluttered, and hi-def Apple’s production crews graphics are. And live odds on screen? More of that please.
